What Lies Beyond Lies

this whole idea that “communication is key”
is kind of misunderstood

because most people think it just means
“say how you feel”

but that’s not really it

you can talk all day
and still not be honest

still not be real

because the real problem isn’t communication
it’s that we’re not being ourselves when we communicate

we’re filtering
adjusting
trying to be liked

so instead of connection
you get distance

and the worst part is
you don’t even realise you’re doing it
