Shiny things can blind you

You may love the idea of something more than you love the actual thing, this can be true for people, hobbies, careers and almost everything we consider something we want to obtain. Desire can blind us and cause tunnel vision, only allowing us to see the positive side of the things we want while ignoring the whole host of negatives and the journey it may take to obtain.
